Episode 74 - Sacred Feminine Rising
The Sacred Feminine, which resides in both females and males, has been prominent as an archetype in many of the world's cultures for thousands of years. Each of us -- as well as the world at large -- thrives when she is in balance with the Sacred Masculine. When masculine energy is not balanced by feminine, we experience dominance, aggression and action without Wisdom. We all suffer. In this episode we share how the Sacred Feminine expresses through/as us and our blocks to balance. If we want to restore balance in our world, this is an important inquiry.
NOTES:
“The Sacred Feminine is a concept that recognizes that ‘God’ ultimately is neither anthropomorphically male or female but a Divine Essence (Goddessence) beyond form and duality – an essence that is in balance and unification of masculine and feminine principles – a dynamic interdependent ’Immanence’ that pervades all life. The Asian Yin Yang icon is a good representation of this idea.” Rev. Dr. Karen Tate
The Sacred Feminine as an archetype
Christianity: Mother Mary and Mary Magdalene
Hinduism: Shakti
Greek mythology: Athena, Aphrodite, Artemis and many more
Ancient Egypt: Isis
The Amazon: Paccha Mama.
Some of the ways she expresses in us: •Nurturing •Openness •Receptivity •Compassion •Sensuality •Creation •Intuition •Vulnerability •Collaboration •Acceptance •Empathy •Connection to Earth/Creation
Sacred Feminine resides in both females and males
We thrive (as does the world at large) when she is in balance with the Sacred Masculine
Our world is skewed. Masculine energy is dominant -- and not necessarily the Sacred Masculine. Sacred Masculine is active, but also protective and grounded.
When masculine energy is not balanced by feminine, we experience dominance, aggression and action without Wisdom. We suffer in the imbalance -- all of us, not just women.
“Only through working together with the sacred feminine can we heal and transform the world. And this means to honor her presence within our bodies and our soul, in the ground we walk on and the air we breathe.” Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee, Sufi teacher
"And God said, 'Let us make human beings in our image, make them reflecting our nature so they can be responsible for the fish in the sea, the birds in the air, the cattle, and, yes, Earth itself, and every animal that moves on the face of Earth." Genesis 1:26
To restore balance:
Invite the Sacred Feminine to arise in us
Look for ways we participate in theimbalance and alter our own course
Honor/strengthen own expression

Closing Thought
I am created in the image and likeness of God - the perfect balance of feminine and masculine energies. I take time apart and listen to my innermost God-nature calling me to be in balance. Today I allow the Sacred Feminine to express in me by being open, receptive and compassionate. With an open heart, I listen. I trust my intuition and take action with Wisdom. I allow myself to be authentically vulnerable and fully experience my Oneness with all Creation.
