Episode 111 – Where Two or Three Gather
Prayer is an act of love, a creative and connecting activity. Uniting with the Divine.
Affirmative prayer is not praying to God, but praying from a conscious awareness of God
“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:20
“In my name” points us to be in intimate spiritual community focused on Divine Love
Two or Three:
When we pray with intention with two or three (or more), something mystical and magical happens
Minds, hearts and spirits unite as one, and the Presence arises within
It becomes easier to shed the ego’s hold and more fully experience Oneness
It helps to move us away from the problem
By ourselves, we can so easily stay embroiled in what is wrong or missing
In prayer, we don’t want to fan the flames of worry and concern, or be focused on what is wrong
We want to find the stillness
When we pray with another we allow the other to hold sacred space for us. We allow them to claim and see the Truth for us that we may not be able claim and see for ourselves.
Praying in a group:
Accelerates shifts in consciousness
Our combined, centered energies magnify, and then elevate the collective consciousness
Even if we can’t see the effect of our group prayers, we know they are effective – we trust that all is working together for good

Dialogue and Inquiry
What is your experience with bringing a prayer need to another person? Did it help you to move away from the problem?
Share your experience with praying in a group. Does gathering as ‘two or three’ make a difference for you?
What does ‘when two or three gather together’ mean to you?
What does ‘in my name’ mean to you?
What good do you think group prayer does?
When I come together with others in prayer, a great power for Good is released. I link my heart, mind and spirit with those who pray with me. Together we align our thoughts with the power of Divine Mind, and join our prayers in an energy of Infinite Love. United in prayer, we lift ourselves and the world.
