Episode 159 - A Conversation on Forgiveness, Reconciliation and the Inner Child
John Paul Rice began his film career in the movie, Remember the Titans (2000), and is currently the president/producer of No Restrictions Entertainment, a film company that produces bold, cutting-edge and authentic stories that humanize issues rarely shown in Hollywood movies. Among them are A Child’s Voice, which exposes child trafficking and the most recent, Game Day, an authentic and powerful story about a dysfunctional family that fights passionately among themselves, but never gives up on each other. In this episode, Rice shares his belief that unconscious trauma (child abuse) and forsaking our inner child are at the root of today's polarities. He joins Rev. Carol for an interesting conversation on forgiveness, healing, consciousness, unconditional love, our inner child, and how the various fragmented factions of today can heal and reconcile.
During our conversation, John mentions an Instagram live that he did in 2020. I had not seen it until now and appreciate his research, insights and observations. We pray for the children who are victims of trafficking every Wednesday morning. I have mentioned before that my greatest awakening took place after watching the four-part testimony of Anneke Lucas where she spoke of her experience in the child sex slavery rings in Belgium in the 1970’s. He mentions her in his Instagram live. I recommend that everyone watch her four-part interview, but don’t expect your perception of the world to ever be the same. And in the event you are trying to categorize any of this, I stand with John Paul Rice in stating this is NOT a left-right issue. We need to stop thinking in those terms because it keeps us from seeing the reality of the problems we are facing and the evil (unconscious) programs of our collective consciousness that we pretend do not exist.
