Episode 323 - The Inner Journey of Yoga with Reema Datta
Internationally renowned yoga, Ayurveda, and emotional healing teacher Reema Datta shares how the events of 9/11 inspired her to leave her prestigious United Nations career and embark upon a soul-led journey to help people to find peace within themselves. Raised in a family of yogis and inspired by her grandmother’s quiet wisdom, Reema has committed over 20 years of her life to restoring yoga in the west to its original spiritual roots beyond body positions. In this episode she introduces us to her 12-week transformative program, which includes establishing a supportive community, examining our stories, and exploring how kleshas—delusion, attachment, jealousy and more—block our true nature and hinder our fulfillment. She also shares a breathing technique that calms the mind and heals the body and what it was like to lead yoga sessions with Sting and Paul Simon. In a world filled with distractions and dumbing-down technology, now is the time to reclaim our souls and live with presence, power, and peace.
