Episode 93 – Life Is for Living
Why do we spend so much of our time here focusing on what is missing, complaining or being otherwise irritated? Why is that a conversation that unifies us? Even if we’re not doing those things, are we alive? Do we notice it? We can choose to be alive or dead (in Heaven or Hell) every moment of our lives. But the thief – our own ego – clings to thoughts that steal, kill and destroy our experience of Life Itself. Being alive in this physical realm is a gift of great value – a pearl of great price. Every moment is valuable. In this episode we explore what being fully alive looks like, and what we do to bring ourselves back to Life when we notice we are not present to it.
So much of our conversation is centered on:
What is missing, complaining, being irritated
In the past or future
Why is this a conversation that unifies us?
Even if we’re not doing those things, are we alive? Do we notice it?
Being alive in this physical realm is a gift of great value – a pearl of great price
Every moment is valuable
Every moment is a choice between Heaven/Being alive and Hell/Walking dead
Being alive is:
Aware of the Presence of God
Conscious and appreciative of Life •
Awake to perfection
Cradle of creativity
The past informs but doesn’t live in our minds/hearts
We are meant for Life:
Who is the thief?
Ego – clings to thoughts that ‘steal, kill and destroy’ our experience of/presence to Life Itself
Shame, unforgiveness, envy, fear, doubt, control
Where is the thief?
What do we talk about?
Who do we hang around with?
Where is our awareness?
What do we do with feelings?
life is also one of the 12 Powers laid out by Unity co-founder, Charles Fillmore. It is our ability to energize, vitalize, enliven, animate, and invigorate. The Life force gives rise to our physical bodies. As Life, we express the eternal activity of Spirit in this physical plane.
Dialogue and Inquiry
What does being fully alive look like for you? Where does it happen? How can you expand your awareness and appreciation of Life?
What did you observe as your thief these past two days? What else distracts you from being fully alive?
What do you do to bring yourself back to Life when you not present to it?
What does John 10:10 mean to you?
God is Life. I am theimage and likeness of God, come into this world to be fully alive and express divine ideas through joyful relationships, fulfilling work, well-being, and peace of mind. Every moment of my life is valuable, not to be squandered. I am awake, in awe of Life Itself and in wonder and gratitude for the opportunity to be alive.
