Episode 234 - In Service to Others with Marla Hughes

Marla Hughes is passionate about children -- learning from their wisdom, preserving their divine connection and creating rituals to support them in their challenging times. She answers the call of her intuition to take dramatic actions, anchored in love. Together with her daughter, she brought play to refugee children in Poland. She founded the Ethiopian Family Fund, a non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of Ethiopian children. She travels annually to Ethiopia where she learns to slow down and appreciate the simplicity of life while being in service to local communities. She also recently authored her first children’s book, Love Magic, which inspires children who have lost loved ones to reconnect with them in the here and now. Marla is the founder and host of the podcast, Interviews with Innocence, where she explores how children can help us reconnect with our spiritual selves. Whether you have children in your life or not, in this episode you will learn about the light and hope that today’s children bring to the world and gain some ideas on how to heal and honor your own inner child from his/her breaks in belonging and unacknowledged feelings. We also discuss the wisdom of the elderly, the culture in Ethiopia, the importance of ritual and how we can bring it alive in our lives. And much more!
